Cornea Conditions & Treatment
The cornea is the eye’s outermost layer. It is the clear, dome-shaped surface that covers the front of your eye. Although the cornea has an excellent ability to quickly repair itself, a serious injury or a wide array of medical conditions may prolong the healing process, which can result in a variety of symptoms, including:
- Pain
- Blurred Vision
- Tearing
- Redness
- Extreme sensitivity to light
- Corneal scarring
If you experience any of these symptoms, seek care from an eye doctor. These symptoms may indicate a more serious problem or require special treatment.
