AcrySof® IQ Toric Intraocular Lens (IOL)

What are Toric Intraocular Lens (IOL)

For our patients with cataracts and astigmatism, having successful cataract surgery is only half the battle toward regaining quality vision. To help improve your vision and quality of life, Zeiter Eye Medical Group offers the ACRYSOF® Toric lens, which corrects for both conditions simultaneously.

For those patients with cataracts and presbyopia we offer the ACRYSOF® RESTOR® lens, which corrects for both of these conditions at the same time, while eliminating the need for glasses after surgery in most patients.

Achieve Clear Distance Vision without Glasses or Contacts

Until recently, the use of eyeglasses or contact lenses after cataract surgery was the only viable vision correction options for astigmatism correction. However, these options are not only inconvenient in terms of lifestyle, but can also be expensive over a lifetime. Through the advanced technology of AcrySof® IQ Toric Intraocular Lens (IOL) Zeiter Eye Medical Group offers a solution, that replaces your cataract-clouded natural lens for clear vision and corrects the corneal astigmatism, so you can see in focus.

Quality Distance Vision — Unhindered by Cataracts and Astigmatism

Because of the AcrySof® IQ Toric IOL technology Zeiter Eye Medical Group offers cataract patients with pre-existing astigmatism precise vision correction to reduce or eliminate corneal astigmatism and deliver significantly improved distance vision without the need for glasses or contacts. You’ll also enjoy an improved image quality thanks to the lens’ new aspheric design. This AcrySof® IQ Toric IOL lens can help provide you with clear, vibrant and in-focus distance vision, all with just one lens.

A Leap Forward in Enhanced Clarity and Image Quality

The Problem: Spherical Aberration

Today, even healthy eyes may contain imperfections called higher order aberrations. An aberration is an irregularity in the shape of the eye’s refractive surface that can distort vision. One type of higher order aberration common to cataract patients is spherical aberration, which can lead to a gradual reduction in vision acuity and function. As you get older, your eye’s lens gets thicker and rounder, causing image quality to deteriorate.

Spherical aberrations are generally associated with vision problems such as:

  • Blurriness
  • Halos
  • Double vision
  • Loss of contrast
  • Poor night vision

The Solution: AcrySof® IQ IOL

In addition to restoring healthy, cataract-free sight to patients, the AcrySof® IQ intraocular lens (IOL) was developed with a unique aspheric design that actually helps reduce spherical aberration.

As a result, the AcrySof® IQ IOL offers a number of benefits over traditional lenses, including:

  • Enhanced clarity
  • Improved image quality
  • Filtered blue light for rich, vibrant color

This amazing aspheric technology is now also available in the entire AcrySof® IOL family. Say goodbye to bifocals and reading glasses with the new AcrySof® IQ ReSTOR® IOL, which offers enhanced image quality and provides a full range of vision near, far and everywhere in-between.

With innovations like these, it’s no wonder that AcrySof® IOLs are the most widely used in cataract surgery, with more than 40 million implanted worldwide

What our patients are saying about us…

“My husband just had cataract surgery, and he was amazed at how wonderful the entire staff was. He said, they were so happy to be there. I loved being able to watch the eye surgery, in the lobby. Time waiting, went by so quickly.”
